The tether
The tether is a magical connection that can carry sensation, emotion, thought and memory among those joined through it. It does not erase choice or act as a mind of its own. Instead, it responds to the people joined through it, interpreting and adapting to what they offer, conceal and choose. The Black Circle tried to force such a bond into obedience, but the connection awakening between Eldran and the Wizard is becoming something their makers did not understand.
